Common Ground: A Sound Thought Installation in Queens Park

For Govanhill International Festival, Sound Thought and friends are transforming Queen’s Park orchard into an open-air listening gallery!

The installation explores, interrogates, and celebrates the park as a 'public venue' / community resource, and a place of intersecting lives and forces.

What sounds define our shared spaces? How do the communities who use these spaces shape what we hear? And how do we assert our right to public life against budget cuts and private partnerships?

The installation will be situated in Queen’s Park Apple Orchard from 12pm to 6pm on Sunday the 16th of August. Part of Govanhill International and Carnival.
