Celebrity Charity Football Match

River City Stars and Special Guests Lace Up Boots for Glasgow Charity Football Match.

Cast members from BBC Scotland’s hit drama River City will swap the streets of Shieldinch for the football pitch next month in a high-profile charity match to support children living with cancer.

The River City & Friends vs Allied Vehicles Charity Football Match will take place on Sunday, 13 September 2026 at Glasgow Perthshire FC (81 Ashfield Street, Glasgow, G22 5SH). Gates will open to the public at 2:00 PM, with kick-off scheduled for 3:00 PM.

Organized with the support of actress Simone Lahbib, the event brings together television personalities, special guests, and players from Allied Vehicles for a competitive and family-friendly afternoon of football. Adding to the matchday atmosphere, the afternoon will feature a live performance by the award-winning Champion Dance & Cheer.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to The Eilidh Brown Memorial Fund. The charity was established in memory of Stirling teenager Eilidh Brown, who passed away from cancer aged 15. The fund successfully built and now maintains a beautiful, purpose-built respite holiday home in the Stirling countryside, offering free, peaceful getaways for children with cancer and their families during incredibly difficult times.

Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children, and can be purchased in advance via the official website at

Members of the public, football fans, and families are encouraged to come along, enjoy the entertainment, and help raise vital funds for a deeply meaningful cause.
