EXIT x Tanum Sound present: Aba Shanti-I, ojoo, Mellowdramatics & Klaus

EARTH ROCKERS!

EXIT and Tanum Sound come together for this special linkup to present the mighty earth rocker Aba Shanti-I, who needs no introduction as one of the main figures and operators in roots, dub music and UK sound system culture since his first activity in the 1980s. Aba Shanti’s life is a life dedicated to music and he continues to spread his messages of unity, conciousness, and Rastafarian teachings across the world.

For the occasion we’re running an early to late session powered by Tanum Sound System, which has been hand built over the last decade with the aim of providing high-quality sound for community events. The system has found a home at EXIT for its Glasgow sessions over the last few years and for the first time we will running the full system for maximum weight. Arrive early, Tanum crew Klaus and Mellowdramatics will be starting the session off with an extended opening set, which is not to be missed.

Completing the bill is Brussels-based, and dear friend of EXIT and Tanum ojoo who is a member of the Brussels platform and soundsystem collective PSST . They will be bringing their unique take on all things dub, dancehall, contemporary soundsystem music and essential heavyweight late-night basement rattle.

Sliding scale tickets available via RA - As always EXIT and Tanum Sound aims for their events to be as accessible as possible and operate a nobody turned away for lack of funds door policy. A low income ticket tier can be found on the RA page or please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us via [email protected]
