GLARC PRESENTS: Raivo Sloan, Harry Gorski-Brown, tues.
It's GLARC0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000028! GLARC is exceptionally proud to present the debut cassette release of Raivo Sloan at our favourite old haunt, McNeills. Raivo makes densely warped and skittering music punctuated by moments of crystalline beauty. The songs are structured in thrillingly unpredictable ways; new ideas hit you sideways, dissonances drain away to anthemic highs, foggy clouds clear to an airy clarity - it's a great tape. I Can't Drive is Raivo's first major release after a number of digital singles on bandcamp, and it reflects a succinct and clear statement of intent. We are so happy to have Raivo on GLARC and we hope you, the audience, enjoy the tunes of GLARC 000000000000000000000000000000000028 which will be on sale in cassette form. For a preview of the tape follow the link below: https://drive.proton.me/urls/YN3073N6AG#nl5sIjzQnhfV Support comes from Harry Gorski-Brown (https://www.harrygorskibrown.com/fisher-price-pipes) with an acoustic set of his inimitable piping and thrilling green door experimental rap from tues. (https://tueswisely.bandcamp.com/track/sorbet) Still some t shirts left to hawk if that also tempts you down! Noone turned away for lack of funds so email [email protected] if you need and we'll get you in.

Robert's practice often personifies the cosmos as a way to explore aspects of a human experience in relation to the universe. Robert's work starts with seemingly ordinary situations and aims to transport audiences to absurd locations of the universe. Robert likes to use de/re-construction methods on patterns, symbols and ideas to focus on the journey not the destination. ALICE FEENEY is a Scottish writer, artist, mother, and trickster. She is originally from Balloch but has made her home in Glasgow. Her work is at turns funny, dark, sad, serious, confused, confessional, distant, smart, dumb, beautiful, ugly, honest and fantastical. TMI with TIM is a music/comedy improv act that takes audiences stories and turns them into a song on the spot. After a year of monthly shows in London, Tim has secured a 12 show run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer, and is trialing this act in Glasgow until then.
